Sève Films is a production company founded by Luce Grosjean in 2014.
Its purpose is to offer young talents the opportunity to have their films produced and distributed.
It also allows numerous films from animation schools to find an audience, thanks to a diffusion in different festivals everywhere in France and abroad.
Sève films is already working in close collaboration with four different animation film schools: ArtFx, L’École Estienne, GOBELINS and Isart Digital.
Passionate about cinema since adolescence, Luce Grosjean works very young at the festivals, until participating in the organization of some of them.
Holding a BTS and a degree in production management at GOBELINS, she meets the animation world during her training at TeamTO. True to this orientation, she was in charge of the coordination of RECA (Network of Schools of Animated Cinema).
In 2014, she founded Sève Films, a company designed to promote films from schools to festivals and to produce and distribute young authors. After a first short film produced in Brittany in 2016, she decided to move to Arles at the Audiovisual Production and Digital Images Center. This decision aims to create more international partnerships and resettle manufacturing chains in Provence, where she grew up.
Summer is not exactly restful at Sève Films and that’s actually a great news!
The Mark Lotterman’s music video Happy directed by Alice Saey gets off to a great start its carreer in festivals with already 3 selections: the Turku Animated Film Festival, the Festival Silhouette and the Ottawa International Animation Festival!
A beautiful selection also for Antoine Reinartz’s short For the Record and the nomination of the actress Justine Bachelet in the section “Young hopes performers in a short film” at the Festival Jean Carmet!
And this is only an overview 🙂
Le Festival International du cinéma d’animation ends on a high note for Negative Space who won two special prices: the André-Martin Special Distinction for a French short film and the Fipresci Award !
Earlier this year, the film also won the Moviestar+ – UR Sveriges Award in Prix UniFrance du Court-Métrage !
